When and where do training sessions and consultations take place?
When you get in touch you'll be offered the first available appointment which meets your needs. Daytime and some evening appointments are available Monday to Friday. Your first session will normally take place in your home so we can discuss your concerns and prioritise needs. Follow up visits will take place in the most appropriate environment for your dog to learn.
How long should I allow for my appointment?
Most consultations last for around 90 minutes but please allow up to 2 hours. One-to-one training sessions are booked by the hour.
What should I expect from my consultation?
During your first consultation we'll discuss all of your concerns regarding your dog. We'll look at any training that you've previously tried and what effect that has had. We'll identify what motivates your dog to behave in the way that it does and we'll decide what changes you'll be able to make and training you'll practise to start helping your dog.
Who can be present for the session?
Anyone who lives with or looks after your dog is welcome to take part. The more consistent you can be as a group the quicker your dog will learn. Please bare in mind however that young children may get bored with the conversation.
What support will I receive following my consultation or one-to-one training session?
Within 48 hours of your consultation you'll receive a written report by email which supports any recommendations made during the session. The price of the appointment also includes a follow up phone call giving you the opportunity to ask questions and review progress.
What payment methods are accepted?
When you make a reservation you'll receive a payment link inviting you to pay your deposit. Having paid your deposit you'll receive a confirmation of your booking. The balance is due on the day of your consultation and can be paid by card, cash or bank transfer.
Are you insured?
CCS Dog Training is covered through Cliverton insurance to provide both training advise.
What if I need to cancel my appointment?
If you need to cancel your appointment please give as much notice as possible. You'll be offered the next available option but please remember that the deposit is non-refundable should you decide not to re-book.
